Now Clara must decide if she can trust her heart and be with her true mate, or continue to live a happy, but lonely existance. And there is still the Ak-hal to deal with. They share a strange bond, able to speak without speaking, and Clara is afraid to think what that means. She is desperate to escape him, and escapes with a Kamani named Atik. She is happy living among the Kamani, until the Ak-hal attack, and she is taken back to Kypher.
He was mean, and over time, Clara gave up any hopes of achieving that better life, until the Kamani, a race of bear shifters also living on the same planet took down Ak-hal. Once she arrived on the alien ice planet inhabited by the Ak-hal, a race of dragon shifters, she was immediately groomed and chosen as a mate for Kypher.
